Large Format “Instaxly” Advances

A MUCH REQUESTED REVIVAL

Between ingenious modifications made by members of the analogue community and the success of the Instant Back for our Belair Camera – we spotted a gap in the market. Since the disappearance of 4×5 peel-apart Instant film production, large format photographers have been known to go through a lot of trouble to get their hands on expired films instead, so we set about inventing the Instant Back for 4×5 cameras using Fujifilm Instax Wide film – the most widely available and cost-effective instant film on the market, it’s easy to use and perfect for testing and experimenting. Large format photography just got a whole lot easier, less expensive, and more accessible! Which is always a plus.

A PRACTICAL SOLUTION

Large format photography is one of the earliest photo technologies and delivers unparalleled results in terms of resolution and image quality. It takes time to set up every shot, and with larger exposures come larger costs. But now, the LomoGraflok lets you test your setup and shots before exposing onto the more expensive sheet film, delivering great details and shallow depth of field on affordable instant film within seconds! Compatible with all 4×5 cameras with the Graflok system, the LomoGraflok comes with a focusing mask with a built-in frame for easy composition. As an individual light-tightened Instant film ejection unit, the LomoGraflok also opens up unlimited possibilities for camera modifications. OK,….it’s not quite 4×5, and maybe is missing the “mystique” of peel apart real Polaroid. But, it does have the consistency of imaging attributed to Instax.

KEEPING ANALOGUE ALIVE

Longstanding analogue advocates, we listen to the needs of the community and tirelessly bring bold new products to the market. Our professional yet playful range spans experimental films, innovative cameras, instant products, art lenses, photographic accessories, and more. The LomoGraflok is a project developed together with professionals within the large format community. Now, large format pros, aficionados, and beginners alike can affordably putz around with ease without breaking the bank in film costs! Actually, it’s probably easier than the original Polaroid backs in a variety of ways.

    Please
Give us an instax square for 6×6 Hasselblad

    Hi Germin,

Guess we’re at the mercy of Fuji. An Instax Wide image is quite a bit larger than an Instax Mini or Instax Square. I’m sure Lomography went for size over,…..uhhh,…”cuteness”.

    Cheers
